EagleOther attractions you can experience an Eagle at Twin Rivers Golf Course...

That's because the course is situated in Terra Nova National Park where golfers regularly spot the majestic Bald Eagle. The park is a protected area that combines the beauty of the ancient Appalachian Mountains with forests, wetlands, rocky coastal areas and sandy beaches. Take time to appreciate the breathtaking vistas from Ochre or Blue Hills. Discover a fascinating array of marine life. Cast a line into the ocean and catch a sea trout or cod. Canoe, kayak, camp, hike, scuba dive, visit the Marine Interpretation Center. Relax in an environment that welcomes you.

You'll find our provincial flower, the pitcher plant, along many of the park's trails. Just a 24km drive from the golf course, Sandy Pond's self-guiding trail will open up the secrets of this meat-eating plant.

Friendly park staff will help you, your family and friends plan a variety of activities that will let you experience the natural wonders of Terra Nova National Park. For information, visit the Visitor Centers or call: (709) 533-2801.

Don't forget Terra Nova is just one of Newfoundland's national parks. On the western peninsula off the Viking Trail, you'll find Gros Morne National Park, a World Heritage Site. And Newfoundland's rich history is well represented at five national historic sites around the province.
