Overview
The Management and Staff of the Terra Nova Golf Resort, in co-operation with the Newfoundland & Labrador Golf Association, are pleased to announce the scheduling of the 2008 Provincial Men's Amateur Golf Championships July 23-July 27.
The overall goals of the event are to ensure the integrity of the competition, increase participation through enhancement of the overall event and deliver the championship to the participants and stakeholders through excellence in customer service and hospitality.
The Resort will be offering a wide variety of amenities and services for the participants and their guests throughout the entirety of the championship event including special resort rates, excursions for family and guests to cultural tourism sites on the Discovery Trail and nightly entertainment, to mention a few.
We are extremely honored to host the championship on the Twin Rivers Golf Course for the very first time. Every effort will be taken to condition, groom and properly mark and set-up the venue to ensure an exciting championship.

This event will also dedicate itself to raise much needed exposure and funds to the “K-Rock Children’s Trust Fund” - a charity designed to help families facing financial hardship due to the illness of a child. During the scheduled event there will be opportunities associated with the charity to initiate support to this worthwhile endeavour such as the “Scottie Cameron Match Play Putting Tournament”. All proceeds from this event will go to the fund.

An additional goal of the event will be to develop golf in the province by hosting at Terra Nova Golf Resort, a preparation camp for the Men’s and Junior Men’s 2008 golf teams before heading to Nationals representing our province. This two-day camp is designed to better equip our team members while competing at the National Championships. More information about these camps will be provided on the Terra Nova Golf Resort and NLGA web sites in the coming weeks.
